Prayer

We need your prayers, for "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12).

We want to encourage you to pray with updated information. Here are some ways you can get regular updates and information for your prayers:

1. VisionOhio News - Sign up to receive news about what we are doing. Go to the very bottom of this page, complete the information, and click "Subscribe" at the bottom of the form.
   
2. Various entities have prayer updates. CLICK HERE to sign up and choose which of the following you would like to pray: Webbs, Boehms, SEEDnet initiative, African-American initiative, etc.
3. Any of our church planters or workers in the field would welcome your prayers. CLICK HERE to see a list of places where churches are being planted, along with information for you to contact a leader and let him know that you are interested in praying for them regularly.

We also invite you to pray for the church planting movement in Ohio and those of us who are involved in it. See the verses quoted below for how you might pray for us.

Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ . . . NAS95 Colossians 4:2-3

I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing . . . If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples . . . You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. NIV Luke 10:2

With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. Staff Church Planting: four VisionOhio people are now directly involved with church planting: the Webbs, the Boehms, the Guerenas and the Wells. Pray that God will open doors of opportunity for their aspirations to plant new churches. The Webbs are working in the central Ohio area (Worthington, Johnstown, Hebron). The Boehms are planting a church in Northeast Ohio (Twinsburg/Macedonia). The Wells are planting churches in Ashland and Mansfield areas. Martin and his dad, Phil, are planting a Hispanic church in downtown Columbus. Pray for open doors of ministry opportunity, spiritual power in the proclamation of the Gospel, and receptive hearts to the work of the Spirit.

VisionOhio Prayer

1. Pray for support for the Webbs and the Boehms.
2. For open doors for church planting efforts in Ohio.
3. For a broad acceptance and endorsement of the Future Story of Ohio church planting which has been prepared by the prayers and efforts of 20+ Ohio pastors and church leaders.
   
4. For the VO relationship with Go2 to remain God-honoring and complementary in the work of church planting.
5. For harvest WORKERS! Luke 10:2 Pray that God will call emerging leaders to the work of reaching lost people through church planting. Pray that 6 will seek church planter assessment and more will attend training for church planters.
