  • Story: When we started small groups at Grace Connections, we were hoping they would provide a great environment for people to be real and grow spiritually. On Sunday, we saw that happen in our living room. After the video and the discussion, one of the guys in our group leaned back and said, 'You know, I didn't really know anything about God until my early 30's. And now I am learning something new every week at Grace Connections.' That comment led into a lengthy discussion where group members were able to share openly about how they had been hurt by previous church experiences, but how they were now seeing that God wants to be involved in the story of their lives every day! Authentic, open discussion. Stories of spiritual growth. Acknowledgment of bitterness and bad attitudes. Willingness to let God work in our lives. I'd say  that some great things are happening at Grace Connections!

  • Current Status: (September '08) Grace Connections came together in late 2007 when a core group of 35 people decided that God wanted to raise up a new church that was committed to the Great Commission and to taking the gospel to a younger generation. With 68% of our target community either unchurched or underchurched, we began laying plans to blitz our community with the love of Christ so that we could then point them to a relationship with Christ. Our first year (Stage 1) involved helping the Christians in our core get a feel for the how's and why's of outreach and evangelism. During that time, God increased the size of the core to approximately 65. Now we are entering Stage 2 (Reaching Our Community). We have already done two big outreaches and are planning several more - some big and some small - but all focused on showing our community the love of Jesus. Please pray with us that God will use Grace Connections to reach many people for Christ! (Launch date pending)
